When preparing for Kindergarten, parents often focus on reading, counting, and social confidence. But gross motor skills like balance, core strength and physical coordination, play a crucial role in how well your child manages the physical demands of a school day.
A short observational screener with one of our paediatric physiotherapists gives you expert clarity on your child's physical development before they make the big leap to primary school.

What happens during the screening?
Our team visit your child’s preschool during their regular morning routine to conduct a fun, game-based observational check.
During the session, we review key age-matched developmental milestones:

What you receive
Shortly after the screening, we will email you a brief, easy-to-read individual developmental summary report, including:

How it works (simple and stress-free!)

Select your centre: Choose your child's preschool or early learning centre from the dropdown menu in the form below.

Complete details and consent: Fill out your child’s details and check the digital consent box (takes 2 minutes).

Pay online: Securely complete the $40 screening fee payment.

We handle the rest: We coordinate directly with your preschool director. Your child will be screened on your centre’s scheduled screening morning!
Frequently asked questions
What if my child is sick or absent on screening day?
No problem at all! If your child is unwell or away on the day of the screening, your $40 fee is automatically converted into a $40 credit to use toward an initial assessment or service at our North Ryde clinic.
Does my child need special clothing?
Just their normal, comfortable preschool clothes and sturdy shoes (sneakers are ideal) suitable for active outdoor play.
What if my child is shy or hesitant?
We are experienced paediatric physiotherapist who specialise in making sessions relaxed, fun, and pressure-free. Children are invited to participate through games, and hesitant children are welcome to watch a friend first or join in alongside a trusted educator.
